I am the sweet smelling lilac bush
blooming in late spring.
I am the jagged streak of light
bursting from a thunderstorm.
I am the simple iris flower
that opens up your eyes.
I am the dried out raisins
in your morning cereal.
I am the chewed up binky
your baby outgrew.
I am the liquid in your transparent glass
that fades away your problems.
I am the breathtaking view of a sunset
that illuminates a path across the bay.
