Fishing

A hungry feisty fish looking at its

dinner unaware of what is lurking beneath.

A huge gulp pulls the fish swiftly through

the calm current, a hook piercing through

its unsuspecting mouth, passing masses of seaweed.

Creating ripples through the water, fighting for its

life but not strong enough. Struggling and unable to

breathe, its life flashing before its

eyes. Lifted out of the water by a

huge freaky figure never seen before.

Isolated from its school, never to see

family or friends again. Thrashing, gasping for its last

breaths ultimately accepting its fate.

Laying as the warm waves crash, the silver

scales shimmered under the embrace of the

bright beaming sun.
