Your eyes gleamed

sang such charms

made my limbs dance the mamba.

I followed your curving

path deeper into undergrowth

full of teeth and bones

disguised in the dark.

Your skin shimmered

with scales

slender and coiled

around my neck.

Grip tightening

shaking the heart

venom in my veins

forked tongue in my ear

exhale inhaled

by the damp air.
