Resting Place

Sweet summer air scented like honeysuckles and sunflowers caresses my cheek as it slides down the gently sloped hill. The grass and gnarled roots embrace me and tickle my legs with their infinite fingers. Drawing in a breath and staring at the purplish orange sun setting behind the city, I place my prized possession to my head. And pull the trigger to be with you.
