Dusk to Dawn

It comes at dusk,
and shines bright
with the stars in the night sky.
The quietness in the dark,
with wind blowing away the leaves.
The tranquility of the night brings joy.
Sleeping houses and cricket sounds,
the night is untamed and free,
with owls soaring through the sky,
and lampposts gleaming lights.
The moon glares down on the ocean,
and the waves run with the high tide.
The night brings wonder and amazement.
And while it ends at dawn,
it is sure to come again.
