Somehow your gone

It was like the ending of a long book—
Such loud words
In a muted coffee shop
Leather that was once supple
Is now cracked and worn.
Torn pages turning
For one final time
Marking the end to a difficult chapter.
Each chapter, a cherished memory’s gleam
Drenched in laughter’s light in sorrow’s stream,
A bond unbroken, spanning countless years.
The scent of still, sleeping ink
Now softly sits upon the shelf’s pale brink.
The final page leaves a sudden end.
No gentle fade, just a narrative left cold—
The weary war is won, its silence echoes and sighs low
Within all thoughts overbearing the tale’s best moments.
New pages will turn
New chapters will begin
The book has closed but it’s life continues to flow
Even with all thoughts a different path will be pursued.
