Dragging on my war paint

An ode to

the lines I paint

on my upper lash line

out towards my brow

sometimes

black

brown

purple

or pink

I like it when

the line is

short

and sweet

or thick

and l o n g

for when I leave the confinements

of my room

maybe to go out

and eat some

thai food

that is when

I paint you on

and drag you out

like the war paint

soldiers use.
