Disloyalty

Disloyalty is like healing bones, slow

painful and raw.

You can try to put things back together.

You can try to connect the pieces

but it will never be like it used to be.

It will always be somewhat broken.

Somewhat separated.

Somewhat fractured and somewhat

crushed.

The wound may heal -

and will heal.

And you can act like it’s all connected

again and the wound was never opened,

but it will never be like it was -

never the same.

Disloyalty is like healing bones, slow

painful and raw.
