Mind Your Pieces

Watching me hop inside of a car and someone random driving away is foreign, so you force a smile from behind the blinds. My inexistent, mischievous, misbehavior-holding thoughts tumble through your head like laundry in the dryer, but it’s only magnified by your paranoid overprotection. You hear waves crash close, as you wonder what I’m up to. You try to find the pieces of what make me just in order to throw them and stomp on my integrity, only then to realize I’m back through the door holding your own. I wonder why you were concerned with mine when you were missing yours the whole time.
