Inside Out

They say I must leave

my body.

Abandon my humble abode.

The casement to my soul is much

clearer from afar.

I must become the grass, the trees,

the sky, the air.

Every particle surrounding me,

gawking at the shapeliness

the darkness forbids me from seeing.

They say to gain myself

I must lose it,

transcending my being, and escaping

the fog that clouds my view.
