When The Snow Falls

I am

invisible,

but I make myself known.

I am

silent ,

but I make myself heard.

Like the ice freezing over,

I am never expected.

I will always knock on your door.

I am

the beginning of ,

a barren winter.

I am

the frozen soil,

incompetent to support life.

Like the glaciers invade the ocean,

I will grow.

I will be the wind blowing your door open.

I am

an icicle that never melts,

the unzipping of your coat in a blizzard.

Like the hypothermia setting in,

I make you delusional.

I no longer knock on your door.

I will

rob you

Of everything you have.
