Reflections

I wake up to the ringing of my alarm. The glowing lights read 6:15 AM. “Who thought starting the school day so early was a good idea?” I think to myself. Through an immense amount of willpower, I get up and stumble in my groggy state to the bathroom.

I hit on the shower and steam rises out. The mirror begins to fog up. But just before it is unusable, I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror. And this is the routine every morning.

I see my reflection every single day yet there is the underlying thought that no one else will see me the same way. That’s just science. The way light reflects off a mirror makes me see a flipped image of myself. In that case, I wonder, does everyone else see me as I actually am? Or is my perceived reflection reality?
