Cruel

He walks on the cold sidewalk on his way home. He ignores the calls for help from the

woman being robbed. He smirks when he bumps into a child eating ice cream, causing the

dessert to fall onto the floor. He enters his apartment and immediately tunes out his wife when

she begins to talk. He does hear some words, such as “my friend died,” to which he thinks to

himself “she deserved it.” He exits and laughs at a boy trying to bring three gallons of milk up

the stairs at once. He slaps the milk away.
