Safety

Can one remain inside so long? It seems as if he does. Stained windows, covered by blinds and curtains, prevent anyone from coming in. There’s a bit of light visible, as if from a fireplace, with a silhouette of the man sitting in his armchair. He’s chuckling silently, enjoying the reruns of Seinfeld he recorded and somehow managed to keep on VHS. The blanket wrapped around him holds the TV remote between his covered legs, which remains still in his lap. The show comes to a close; Jerry vaguely wraps up the episode with a zinger. And then―he sleeps.
