The Cleansing

Cleansed

of convictions and sins

through the cold, goosebump giving, water.

As the slime and stains of past ventures eradicated itself

from the skin, they felt

reborn.

The transfer of dirt and disgust from a living being

to one not so fortunate, was all that was needed.

Exiting the tub,

rid of misfortune,

the water was still,

yet cold and cloudy.
