To The Doctor

You were like lightning

cracking my clouds of grief.

Breaking through the thick waters

and bringing me relief.

You frightened me at first,

seeing me when I thought no one could.

But soon you were relaxing,

and became my new flood.

You rumbled my blood,

and changed my mentality.

You showed me a sharp light,

the beauty that is of me.

You shook my pain away,

and frightened away my fears.

I thank God for you every day,

and I will for the rest of my years.

You are a beautiful storm,

you saved me from my own.

And this is how I thank you,

by writing you this poem.
